Giambattista Valli x H&M – Autumn 2019

Enter the magical world of Giambattista Valli x H&M: an eclectic feast infused with femininity, where rich embellishments meet romantic ruffles, sharp tailoring and street-inspired details.

An eclectic feast set against the backdrop of one of Rome’s historical landmarks: Palazzo Doria Pamphilj. Its lavish magnificence, unique art collection and Roman nonchalance highlighted the freewheeling spirit, spectacular designs and sophistication of the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection.

The timeless, ageless and effortless pieces of Giambattista Valli x H&M came to life on a pink runway. It featured a mix of models and personalities, including street casted true Romans. The show ended in a spectacular grand finale parade led by Kendall Jenner in the now famous red dress featured by the model in the campaign.

Launched in 2005, Giambattista Valli heralded his first ready-to-wear show in Paris, where he moved to from Rome in order to bring his dream of creating a true “maison” to life. “I created my fashion house in Paris, but I proudly claim my Roman origins. My heart will always belong to the Città Eterna. This is why I chose Rome for the show and in particular Palazzo Doria Pamphilj” said Giambattista Valli.

His first couture collection premiered in 2011. He was accepted as an official member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. As a leading name in fashion, Giambattista Valli brought a new approach to luxury and beauty. His narrative is a love story, shared with dreamers and lovers alike. “With its eclecticism, Rome has integrally shaped my views and personality. It was wonderful to see it all come to life in my hometown”

“Hosting the Giambattista Valli x H&M launch event in what was a genuine Roman night full of fun and glamour with a “Dolce Vita” spin, was absolutely delightful” said Ann Sofie Johansson. “The spirit of this unique collection came to life in rooms full of historic splendor. A new wave of Valli Girls and Valli Boys walked the runway, ready to take over the night and the streets”
