Loewe has returned to Ibiza to get inspired for its Paula’s II collection.
Creative director Jonathan Anderson has explored more of Paula’s iconic print archive and incorporated a selection into a Spring Summer collection that celebrates the bohemian and flamboyant spirit of the Balearic island.
Retro-beach motifs, polka dots, nautical flags and circus characters are used in shirts and patchwork jeans mixed with worn shorts, pajamas and ponchos. Monogram wooden rackets, coral-shaped resin necklaces and pendants in the form of shells and starfish in nappa, complete the hippie charm of the collection.
It is this very spirit that compelled the rising-star photographer Gray Sorrenti to shoot the collection in New Orleans and draw parallels between these two open-minded destinations. The experience of total freedom and discovery pours out of every image.
