Arriving at Daks London fashion show is like going to a Hollywood movie première. Similarly, guests take their time to pose elegantly in front of the photographers just like movie actors do.
The Daks men and women collections match perfectly together and it gives us very British vibe. Above it all, it also remind us of a classic Sherlock Holmes story, where an English gentleman in a top hat meets a mysterious, eccentric lady.
Filippo Scuffi, the brand’s creative director, took inspiration from iconic pieces and revived them by adding a very personal touch. Feathers, ruffles and belts were added to hats, knitwear, suits for men collection.
When it comes to the use of materials, we find heavy materials like wool, velvet and mohair juxtaposed with silk, chiffon and suede. The color combination is in conclusion, a beautiful pallet that transmit a timeworn seasonal atmosphere with flashes of beige, green, red, burgundy and brown.
