A first look at Dsquared2 menswear collection
Urban fighters, military codes, and shapes form looks mixed with retro athletic wear, tailoring, and undone corsetry. Battle fatigues are interchangeable for men and women. Combat pants are the focus of the season’s silhouette, constructed from cotton, in green tones, honey camouflage, with overlays of gauzy black tulle and some with inserts of neon nylon and metallic reflective fabric.
Volume is built from interior lacing and drawstrings, and they are laden with pockets, parachute style straps, and rucksack clips. Deconstructed harness style corsetry is layered over men’s looks as vests, the lacing undone and trailing, recalling parachute military wear. Mesh tops are underneath signature Dsquared2 outerwear: parkas and bombers in a mash-up of fabrications, sporty high-color nylon, and check.
Floral jacquard is inserted into men’s sporty parkas, trimmed with reflective piping. Tracksuits are crafted in soft matte leathers, in retro fluorescent stripes or are mixed with classic formal houndstooth. The getaway shoe is “the giant” sneaker: oversized with a raised back tab and elongated tongue in multiple fabrics, that metamorphoses into fluorescent trimmed sandals for men.
